White Oak Service Rifle Range Report

Took the new white oak service rifle out for its first trip to the range.

Needles to say I am very happy with its performance.

This is group is from the bench at a SR-1 target at 100 yards. Today was really just a function test I’ll work on zeroing it next weekend, as you see it will need a couple clicks up.

The Geissele service rifle trigger I installed is just as good as the reviews. Breaks clean and crisp every time.

I’m excited to take her to a match and see what she can do.

White Oak Service Rifle here!

18-20 weeks later the White Oak service rifle upper I ordered has arrived. It will be a couple weeks until I get it built however I am already impressed with its quality clearly a lot of care was taken in building it. Hopefully I’ll get it together in time for a high power match before the end of the year. Of course I will have to man up and learn to shoot sitting.

And here she is all built. Just waiting on a new turner sling.

White Oak Service Rifle

I finally ordered a White Oak CMP service rifle upper. In 16-20 weeks I’ll post pictures.

It was a very pleasant ordering experience the women on the phone answered all of my stupid questions and even made some suggestions.

Here’s what i ordered:

CMP Upper Pre-Ban
Front Sight Post (NM-.062)
Rear Sight 1/4 min
Pinned Rear sight

Now to turn that $50 Stripped lower from Palmetto State Armory’s Black Friday sale into a match rifle lower. Of course I will have to learn the sitting position now. That sounds fun.
